The Club has recently found out that the North Eastern Junior Cricket Association (NEJCA) will not offer Under 9 cricket this season.
The NEJCA Execute and Delegates have voted to introduce the Milo T20 Blast Programfor U9 children (male and female) for the start of the 2014/2015 NEJCA Season. (Please follow link to see Milo T20 Blast Brochure). Price per child is $99.00 which includes a BBL Cap and Shirt. The move to this format will bring the association in line with the rest of Australia and introduce a new era for keeping alive the interest for our younger generation of cricketers. The Milo T20 Blast Program will replace the current U9 Fixture that NEJCA has followed for some years now. The T20 blast will be played on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday afternoon/evening or Sunday morning.
The new season is approaching fast. The Committee asks current and new players to register online to ensure that we have your details correct.
A junior registration evening will be held at Harper's Field on Friday 29 August from 6pm to 8pm. The Club will accept cash, cheque and internet transfer payments. We hope to have EFTPOS available this year.
The Club is seeking designs for a Club training/T20 shirt for the coming season. The Club has been seeking quotes from suppliers, but we need your help to design it. Once designed, the Club will subsidise the cost of the shirts. As the shirts will be personalised, payment will be required upfront.
The Golden Grove Cricket Club Committee is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Salter as Senior Coach for the 2014/15 season. Jamie has successfully guided the Under 17 team to back-to-back finals campaigns with a premiership in 2012/13. Jamie is well-respected within the Club and the Committee believe that his passion for the Club and his rapport with players will help the Brumbies succeed this season.
Some pre-season dates have already been booked at Gillespie Sports - 23 James Congdon Drive Thebarton SA 5031 (Inside the Ice Arena):
